Praise God!

There are times when I feel so overwhelmed it is very tough to write down my thoughts on here. This would be one of those times. So I will share a small part of the HUGE transformation going on in our teen ministry right now.

We have been averaging about 10-15 kids every Thurs. night for bible study. This past week we had about 25. I have no idea where they come from, but when the doors open at 6 there are teens just walking in off the street. Praise God! On Thursday night we all gathered together in the living room of the Rock Island house. Luke has a definite gift of relating to the kids and this week he took it to a whole new level by playing 3 different rap songs and pulling scripture out of those songs. If you've never seen 25 street teens being quiet all at once and listen to someone read the inspired wordof the Lord... you are missing out. The spirit was so obviously sitting in the room. The best part of the night came during our prayer time of course. We did a chain prayer and once again I was surprised. In the living room of the Rock Island House at least 20 different kids prayed out loud! I can't explain it... there was power in those kids calling on the name of the Lord and it was exciting!
